Welcome to The Arts Society Havering

The Arts Socierty Havering is a member of The Arts Society (Previously the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies).

We are a friendly group, who meet every second Tuesday in the month from September to June at 10am, in the New Windmill Hall in Upminster. We enjoy high quality illustrated and wide-ranging lectures, special events and volunteering activities. We also arrange visits to national galleries and historic buildings as well as trips abroad. At illustrated lectures we hear experts, chosen for their knowledge, presentational skills and entertainment value, speak on a huge variety of topics: architecture, artists and designers, china, glass, painting, music, furniture, sculpture, jewellery, ...and much more, covering prehistory to modern times.

Please visit our Lectures page for our forthcoming programme of lectures.

In light of the UK Government advice on restricting public gatherings the New Windmill Hall will be closed  from Monday 23rd March until the end of May at the present time. Lectures for April and May are cancelled as well as the Study Day in May.

The proposed visit to Salters Hall on the 2nd April is postponed and we will inform you of the rescheduled date when Salters Hall reopens again after this crisis. The walk with Alexandra Epps on the 28th May will also be rescheduled.
